Best Arousal Gels & Pleasure Enhancers: I Tested 12 — Here’s How They Compare

Best Arousal Gels & Pleasure Enhancers: I Tested 12 — Here’s How They Compare

So you’ve decided you want to try an arousal gel, pleasure serum or enhancement product.

And now you’re staring at a bunch of options promising things like:

🔥 WARMING
❄️ COOLING
⚡ TINGLING
💥 INTENSE
🎸 LIQUID VIBRATION

…and thinking:

Okay Alicia. Which one do I actually buy?! I got you. 😂

I’ve personally tested the enhancement products I carry and created my own subjective intensity scale to make comparing them a little easier. But before we get into it, there’s one thing I REALLY want you to understand:

Stronger does not mean better.

A 5/5 isn’t automatically better than a 3/5.

The number tells you how LOUD the sensation feels to me and not how good the product is.

In fact, two of my personal favorites are:

Euforia Pleasure Serum — 4/5

HighOnLove Stimulating Sensual Oil — 3/5

Meanwhile, I have several products that I rate 5/5.

Think about it like music. If you like listening at volume 6, turning it up to 10 doesn’t make your favorite song better. It just makes it louder. And remember: this scale is based on MY experience. Your vulva did not sign a contract agreeing to react like mine.

Now let’s figure out which one sounds like YOUR kind of party.

⭐ Euforia Pleasure Serum — 4/5

❄️⚡ Cooling + Tingling | $39

ALICIA’S FAVORITE

This is one of my personal favorites and one of the products I recommend when someone wants a more noticeable cooling/tingling sensation. The formula contains several cooling sensory ingredients, including menthol, menthyl lactate and peppermint oil, along with L-arginine.

For me, it lands at a strong 4/5 - noticeable without quite crossing into my FRONT ROW SPEAKERS category.

You might love this if…

You enjoy cooling and tingling, want something fairly strong, or have tried very subtle enhancement products and thought:

Is this thing even on?

This may also be one worth exploring if you experience reduced genital sensitivity and tend to prefer stronger sensory input.

🍆 Bonus: It’s not just for vulvas.

Pleasure Serum is marketed for intimate use regardless of anatomy, so penis owners can experiment with it too.

Maybe skip this one if…

Cooling sensations aren’t your thing or you’re sensitive to menthol or peppermint products.

⭐ HighOnLove Stimulating Sensual Oil — 3/5

🔥⚡ Gentle Warmth + Stimulation | $55

ALICIA’S FAVORITE

THIS is my favorite example of why you shouldn’t automatically buy the strongest product.

I only rate HighOnLove around a 3/5

…and it’s one of my favorites.

I personally love the balance. It’s enough sensory stimulation that I notice what’s happening without my vulva feeling like somebody put the stereo on 11.

Its formula includes peppermint oil and a Capsicum-derived ferment extract along with arginine.

You might love this if…

You want a noticeable but more moderate sensory experience or prefer something that doesn’t immediately scream:

HELLOOOOOO, CLITORIS.

I also like the silky oil-like experience of this one.

Maybe skip this one if…

You know you’re sensitive to mint or Capsicum-derived ingredients—or you’re specifically looking for my strongest options.

AMP — 5/5

❄️⚡ STRONG Cooling + Tingling | $33

Welcome to the front row.

AMP gets a full:

🎸 5/5 — FRONT ROW SPEAKERS

Its sensory lineup includes menthol, menthyl lactate and menthyl ethylamido oxalate.

Translation?

If you like COOL + TINGLE + I CAN DEFINITELY FEEL THIS, AMP understood the assignment.

You might love this if…

You’ve tried gentler enhancement products and thought:

“Cute. Can we turn it up?”

It may also be worth exploring if you have reduced sensitivity and find that stronger sensory input is more noticeable for you.

🍆 Penis-friendly!

AMP is marketed for use on either the clitoris or penis, making it another option couples can experiment with together.

Maybe skip this one if…

You already know intense cooling isn’t your thing.

And please remember:

More AMP does not equal more orgasm. Start with the recommended amount. Your clitoris is not a science fair experiment.

“O” Vanilla Frosting — 4/5

❄️⚡ Cooling + Tingling | $33

“O” gives me another fairly strong cooling/tingling experience at about a 4/5.

Its sensory ingredients include menthol, menthyl lactate and menthyl ethylamido oxalate, but this one has another fun feature:

It’s flavored.

That makes it an interesting option if you want enhancement plus something designed to add another element to oral or partner play.

You might love this if…

You like cooling/tingling sensations AND want something flavored.

🍆 Yep, this one is penis-friendly too.

“O” is marketed for use on both the clitoris and penis.

Equal-opportunity tingles around here. 😂

Maybe skip this one if…

Cooling ingredients have already received a formal eviction notice from your genitals.

GPS G-Spot Cream — 3/5

🔥⚡ Warming/Tingling | $39

GPS gives me a more moderate 3/5 experience and takes us away from the heavily cooling products.

The formula includes niacin, methyl nicotinate, arginine, spearmint and ginseng.

It’s designed specifically with G-spot stimulation in mind.

You might love this if…

You want a moderate enhancement product for internal/G-spot exploration and don’t necessarily want the intense cooling sensation of something like AMP.

Maybe skip this one if…

You’re particularly sensitive to warming/flushing ingredients or your genital tissue is already irritated.

Excitemint — 5/5

🔥⚡ STRONG Warming + Tingling | $40

Oh.

She came to PLAY.

Excitemint is another full 5/5 for me, but it feels VERY different from AMP.

Its formula contains niacin, peppermint oil and clove leaf oil and is designed around a strong warming/tingling experience.

This is exactly why asking:

“What’s your strongest product?”

doesn’t give me enough information.

AMP and Excitemint are BOTH 5/5. But one leans heavily into cooling. The other gives me a much warmer sensory experience.

You might love this if…

You want one of my strongest products but prefer WARM over icy/cooling sensations.

Maybe skip this one if…

You have very sensitive genital tissue or know peppermint or clove products tend to irritate you.

Wicked Awaken — 3/5

🔥❄️ Warming + Cooling | $19.96

Can’t decide between hot and cold?

Why choose? 😂

Wicked Awaken combines the cooling sensory ingredient menthoxypropanediol with the warming ingredient vanillyl butyl ether.

For me, it lands around 3/5.

It’s also L-arginine-free and glycerin-free, which may make it particularly appealing if you’re specifically shopping for a formula without those ingredients.

You might love this if…

You want a moderate sensory experience and like the idea of alternating warming + cooling.

Maybe skip this one if…

Warming or cooling products tend to aggravate irritation or vulvar discomfort.

Clitherapy Horny Jar — 2.5/5

🔥 Gentle Warming | $14

Now we’re turning the volume down.

Horny Jar gives me around a 2.5/5.

It contains sensory ingredients including vanillyl butyl ether and menthyl ethylamido oxalate in a rich balm base with shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil and sweet almond oil.

You might love this if…

You prefer a gentler sensory experience or want to experiment with enhancement products without immediately cannonballing into my 5/5 category.

Maybe skip this one if…

You have an almond allergy. It contains sweet almond oil. Also skip if you think you need something stronger.

Clitherapy Bad Day Killer — 2.5/5

🔥 Gentle Warming | $14

Bad Day Killer also gets about a 2.5/5 from me.

Like Horny Jar, it has a rich balm base and contains vanillyl butyl ether and menthyl ethylamido oxalate.

So this is another option for someone who doesn’t necessarily need their enhancement product screaming at them.

You might love this if…

You’re looking for a gentler warming experience at a lower price point.

Maybe skip this one if…

Again:

Almond allergy = nope. This formula also contains sweet almond oil. And again, if you think you need something stronger.

Okay…What the Hell Is a “Liquid Vibrator?”

Now we get to one of my favorite categories to explain. 😂

Several of the Elixir products contain Spilanthes acmella, an ingredient associated with a distinctive tingling, buzzing or prickly sensory experience. That’s where the whole “liquid vibrator” language comes from.

No.

Your bottle does not contain a microscopic Hitachi. It’s describing the sensation.

Elixir Multi O — 4/5

⚡❄️ Tingling + Buzzing + Lubricant | $20

Multi O gets a 4/5 from me.

Its formula combines Spilanthes with menthol, ginger, ginkgo, ginseng and arginine, giving it a broader ingredient profile than the Frequency formulas.

But here’s something else that makes Multi O fun:

It can also be used as a lubricant.

Instead of applying it only as a targeted enhancement gel, you can use Multi O during partnered play - and both partners can experience the tingling sensation.

So if you’re looking for something that adds sensation to the experience for everyone involved, this one gives you a little more versatility than a traditional targeted enhancement product.

You might love this if…

You want that buzzy/tingly Spilanthes sensation, like the idea of an enhancement product that can double as a lubricant, or want something both partners can feel during partnered play.

Basically: why should one person get all the tingles? 😂

Maybe skip this one if…

You already know menthol/cooling sensations aren’t for you or you’re currently experiencing irritation.

Frequency Liquid Vibrator — 4/5

⚡❄️ Buzzing + Tingling | $20

Frequency is marketed as the medium version of Elixir’s liquid-vibrator experience.

For me?

Still a 4/5.

It combines Spilanthes + menthol for that unusual buzzy/tingly sensation with some cooling thrown into the mix.

You might love this if…

You want to experiment with a “liquid vibrator” but aren’t necessarily ready to jump straight to the Intense version.

Frequency Intense Liquid Vibrator — 5/5

⚡❄️ STRONG Buzzing + Tingling | $20

And finally…

FRONT. ROW. SPEAKERS.

Frequency Intense gets a 5/5 from me.

Like regular Frequency, its formula contains Spilanthes + menthol, but this version is marketed as the higher-intensity option—and that’s consistent with my personal experience.

You might love this if…

You already know you enjoy strong sensory stimulation, regular enhancement products don’t give you enough oomph, or you specifically want to explore a more intense buzzy/tingling sensation.

Maybe skip this one if…

You’re particularly sensitive to strong cooling or tingling.

Remember:

5/5 doesn’t mean better. It just means LOUDER.

Still Can’t Decide? Shop by Sensation

Okay. You’ve read about twelve different enhancement products and you’re now thinking: ALICIA. JUST TELL ME WHICH ONE.

Fair. 😂

Here’s where I’d start.

❄️ “Give Me COOL + TINGLY”

Euforia Pleasure Serum — 4/5 ⭐

“O” Vanilla Frosting — 4/5

AMP — 5/5

If cooling sensations make your body go oooooh, this is your section.

🔥 “I Want WARM”

Clitherapy Horny Jar — 2.5/5

Clitherapy Bad Day Killer — 2.5/5

GPS G-Spot Cream — 3/5

HighOnLove Stimulating Sensual Oil — 3/5 ⭐

Excitemint — 5/5

Basically:

🔥 cozy little fireplace

all the way to…

🔥🔥🔥 THE HOUSE IS ON FIRE.

🔥❄️ “Give Me Hot AND Cold”

Wicked Awaken — 3/5

She’s Switzerland.

Why pick a side?

⚡ “I Want That Weird Buzzy Feeling”

Multi O — 4/5

Frequency Liquid Vibrator — 4/5

Frequency Intense Liquid Vibrator — 5/5

If the “liquid vibrator” concept has you intrigued, start here.

🔉 “Please Be Gentle With Me”

Look around my 2.5–3/5 range:

Clitherapy Horny Jar — 2.5/5

Clitherapy Bad Day Killer — 2.5/5

HighOnLove Stimulating Sensual Oil — 3/5 ⭐

Wicked Awaken — 3/5

GPS — 3/5

But remember:

Being new to enhancement products doesn’t automatically mean you need the weakest product. Your baseline sensitivity matters too. Start conservatively with the amount and learn what your body likes.

📢 “My Genital Sensitivity Is Lower — TURN IT UP”

If medications, neurological differences, spinal cord injury or other factors have changed your genital sensation, you may personally find stronger sensory stimulation easier to notice.

In that case, you might be interested in exploring some of my 4–5/5 products, such as:

Euforia Pleasure Serum — 4/5 ⭐

Multi O — 4/5

Frequency — 4/5

AMP — 5/5

Excitemint — 5/5

Frequency Intense — 5/5

That does NOT mean these products treat decreased genital sensation or medication-related sexual dysfunction.

They’re simply another form of sensory input you can explore.

If you have substantially altered sensation from a spinal cord injury or neurological condition, talk with a knowledgeable healthcare professional about any individual safety considerations before experimenting.

🍆 “I Want Something We Can BOTH Use”

If you’re shopping for an enhancement product marketed for use on either the clitoris or penis, check out:

Euforia Pleasure Serum — 4/5

“O” Vanilla Frosting — 4/5

AMP — 5/5

Because sometimes date night means:

Everybody gets their volume turned up. 😂

One Last Thing Before You Buy…

Please don’t choose your enhancement product solely because somebody—including me—said it was the strongest.

Ask yourself:

  • Do I like warming or cooling?
  • Do I want gentle or intense?
  • Do I like tingly/buzzy sensations?
  • Am I sensitive to any of these ingredients?
  • Am I looking for something for myself or something my partner can use too?

And most importantly:

What actually feels pleasurable to MY body?

Because the goal isn’t to find the product that produces the biggest sensation. It’s to find the sensation that makes YOU say: Ohhhh. THERE it is. 😏

And remember—enhancement products are exactly that: Enhancers.

They’re not magic instant orgasm potions. They don’t replace arousal, stimulation or context. They turn up the volume on what’s already happening.

So…

Turn the music on first. Then find your volume. 😉
