About Me
Hi, I'm Alicia Kay.
If you told 25-year-old me that I'd one day be known as "the sex toy lady" on the internet, I would have laughed in your face.
I genuinely thought I was going to spend my entire career in Veterinary Microbiology.
I went to school, got the degree, landed the job, and figured that was what my future looked like. It was stable, respectable, and what I had worked toward for years.
Then one night I got invited to an in-home intimacy party.
At the time, I was mostly looking for a fun night out with friends. Instead, I stumbled into an industry I didn't even know existed.
I remember sitting there fascinated. Not because of the products, but because of the conversations. Women were asking questions they had never asked before. People were laughing, learning, and sharing stories. Nobody seemed embarrassed. Nobody was judging each other.
I left thinking, "Wait... people get paid to do this?"
A few weeks later I hosted my own party. The consultant made around $600 in a few hours talking about sex while everyone sat around fully clothed eating snacks.
I thought, "Well, that's a lot more fun than picking up a second job."
So I signed up.
At first, this was simply a side hustle. I wanted some extra income and a creative outlet outside of my day job.
What I didn't realize was how much education was involved.
I've always loved teaching. When I was younger, I taught horseback riding lessons and worked at horse summer camps. For a long time, I thought I was going to become an agriculture teacher. Even in my career in Veterinary Microbiology, a large part of my job involved training and mentoring others.
Finding a way to combine teaching with a topic people were genuinely excited to learn about (and desperately needed!) felt like a perfect fit. The products were fun, but I found myself looking forward to the conversations even more.
I loved answering questions. I loved explaining how bodies work. I loved seeing someone's face light up when they learned something new or realized they weren't the only person experiencing something.
The more parties I did, the more I realized women were carrying around a lot of confusion, shame, and unanswered questions about their bodies, desire, and relationships.
And honestly, so was I.
The deeper I got into this work, the more I learned about my own body too. There were things I struggled with that I couldn't explain. There were moments when my husband and I were frustrated because my body wasn't responding the way either of us thought it should.
The education I was sharing with others was helping me at the same time.
What started as a side hustle slowly turned into something much bigger.
I had finally found a way to combine my love of teaching with work that was making a real difference in people's lives.
Over time, I started noticing the same themes coming up again and again.
Women wondering why their desire had changed.
Women feeling guilty because they needed lubricant.
Women frustrated because their bodies weren't responding the way they thought they should.
Women convinced they were somehow broken.
Nobody teaches us this stuff. Or if they do, they barely scratch the surface.
Somewhere along the way, this stopped being about products. Don't get me wrong. I still love a good toy recommendation.
But what really lights me up is helping someone connect the dots and finally understand something they've been struggling with for years.
That's why you'll find a mix of products and education here.
I want you to have access to tools that can help, but I also want you to understand why those tools might help in the first place.
These days, I spend my time creating content, answering questions, teaching, testing products, and having conversations that many people were never taught how to have.
I've built an amazing community of people who are curious, open-minded, and willing to learn.
And honestly? I still can't believe this became my job. But I can confidently say I found my calling.
If there's one thing I hope you take away from my content, it's this: You're probably not broken.
Chances are, nobody ever taught you what was actually going on. Everyone deserves access to that information.
That's why I do what I do. I'm so glad you're here.
